It's Christmas time! Which means we've found new ways to personalize and make our Christmas gifts. Hannah and I have recently found out about writing on mugs with a sharpie and baking it for 30 minutes on 350 degrees so it will stay on permanently!

The Glitz
It's become a holiday tradition for my mom, my sister, and me to have lunch at an old antique mall known as the Glitz. They serve a limited but delicious option of appetizers, entrees, and desserts. After lunch, we make our way around to see all the rooms filled with antiques. Some are strange like a man doll in a dress. And others are interesting like the plate that was created by an artist who has the same name as us!

Braiding Bread
Today I got to stop by the Bluegrass Baking Company and help Ryan with some of the bread he was making. I braided a few pieces, helped make some dough, scored the tops before loading them into the oven, and even did a little taste testing. :)

Buffalo Trace
Liz needed to see a historic part of Frankfort while she was here! So what could be better than a tour of the Buffalo Trace Distillery??
Beautiful Kentucky
Ryan and I got to show Liz one of the best sides of Kentucky: The Red River Gorge. We visited Gray's arch and hiked along the Auxier Ridge, just in time to see the sun set over the valley.

Painting with Friends
Faith, Anna, and I wanted to hang out before leaving or Thanksgiving. So we went and painted in my studio. I think their paintings are lovely :)
